# How many pets are allowed in each rental unit. It is unlikely that you will be allowed to have 20 cats and 10 dogs in one unit because that will be chaotic and disrupt everything. 

# If there are any breeds that the landlord or property manager doesn’t want to have inside the apartment. 

# The responsibility of the tenant when it comes to keeping their own rental and the surrounding area as clean as possible.
# The procedures that are followed to deal with some of the issues related to having animals, such as noise complaints or messes that the neighbors have. 

If the lease does not include this information, then it is a good idea to talk to the landlord to figure out what their policy is. Do not just assume that you can do whatever you would like, because this can cause some problems for you and the landlord along the way. You can go through and have the landlord add that information into the lease before you agree to sign it and they may choose to follow it with other tenants in the future. This will be useful whether you have some pets now or plan to get them down the line.
