Position Title : Senior Mechanical Engineer (Design)

Location : Malaysia

Job Description :

 Lead, plan and execute conceptual studies, feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering through proper planning, coordination and interfacing with the objective of achieving a comprehensive design package to ensure compliance to the requirement whilst ensure the cost effective and stipulated timeline applicable.

 Lead and perform in-house basic engineering design and to produce good quality deliverables conforming to the best practice and standard on the process discipline through proper and detail planning, coordination and interfacing to ensure compliance with applicable design engineering codes and standards, project specifications, statutory and regulatory requirements.

 Assess and review relevant detailed mechanical engineering documents including , but not limited to specifications, equipment layout, equipment specifications, data sheets, hazardous area classification, cost and manhour estimates and calculations through proper and detail coordination, planning, interfacing and feedbacks as to ensure they are in compliance with applicable design engineering codes and standards, project requirements (HSE, HAZOP, EIA and RHA), statutory and regulatory requirements.

 Provide and support technical solutions on mechanical engineering issues during the construction and commissioning phases of the project through proper and comprehensive planning, interfacing and coordination as to ensure the most optimum, reliable and cost-effective technical solutions are achieved.

 Participate, review and provide relevant inputs in bid preparation on mechanical engineering issues through proper planning, interfacing and coordination to ensure the tender documents are complete and competitive as well as participate in technical evaluation, project independence review and project risk assessment of relevant engineering design package and ITB documents for tendering exercise through proper coordination and interfacing as to conform with the project guidelines and requirements.

 Evaluate and review relevant engineering issues in term of scope and design change through thorough coordination and interfacing during construction and commisioning phase in order to minimise project schedule and cost impact.

 Conduct studies on relevant discipline and undertake improvement initiatives for existing plants and transmission facilities through extensive networking and proper coordination and planning as to ensure realisation of operational excellence and to meet business and project requirements.

 Control and monitor all mechanical engineering deliverables as to conform and comply with the ISO 9001 and internal Engineering Management System (EMS) requirements.

 Instill good rapport, networking and relationship either internally or externally i.e. DOSH, DOE, Vendors, Manufacturers, Contractors, etc. through maintaining good and proper working relationship and communication in order to ensure clear understanding as well as meeting client expectation and requirements.

Job Requirement :

 Degree / M.Sc / Ph.D in Mechanical engineering discipline.

 7-10 years experience in oil and gas industry particularly in mechanical design

 Experience in gas plant modification will be an added advantage

 Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

 Good at planning and organizing
